The European Ink Jet Conference continues to attract large numbers of delegates who came to hear the latest developments, both markets and technology. This year we had more speakers and more delegates than for quite a while. Top speakers All of our speakers did a great job and overall scores were very high. The top 5 presentations rated by attendees were: 1 Steve Temple, Xaar 2 Dr. Nick Campbell, Inca Digital 3 Konrad Vosteen & Sven Peppekus, Thieme 4 Dr. Raghu Das, IDTechEx 5 Yoshihiko Masakawa, Olympus Our exhibition area, where attendees could display their sales material and samples free of charge, was well utilised, with networking continuing through the breaks and the evening receptions.

Al Keene, President of IMI opening the 13th Annual European Ink Jet Conference and desperately trying to get everyone to say "good afternoon"	Top-rated speaker Steve Temple of Xaar demonstrates chamber resonance using an empty wine bottle (there was no shortage of those!)	Dr. Nick Campbell of Inca Digital shows off the very first LED UV curing system they built - and it still works!
Sven Peppekus of Thieme then described their new M-Press	Konrad Vosteen of Thieme compared digital to screen printing	Raghu Das of IDTechEx gave an excellent talk on emerging printed electronics applications
Yoshihiko Masakawa of Olympus described how the printheads inside the Riso high-speed colour printer were developed, and their exciting plans for the future	Mark Hanley modelled the new IT Strategies fleece jacket, possibly a mistake in sunny Lisbon, and wasn't that wool itchy!	Rob Kershaw of Ilford told us about the demise of traditional photo materials and the challenges facing suppliers, and gazed upwards for divine inspiration?
